yes, Walmart. My wife came up with this when I was looking to replace furniture ruined in the flood. Cubes are 13", and 8 spaces on the ones I bought. They were on sale for $86 and the quality is good, better than Lowes, HD, and Ikea. I set up 2 of them so I can eventually fill them someday. In the pamphlet they also have others but these were just manageable enough to bring in the house by myself and set them up in the basement.
Follow Ups:
Having gotten tired of records rolling out of the sleeves a bit and collecting dust, I added a luan back panel to my pair of 9by9 record racks. The back panel also makes the entire unit significantly sturdier as well.

So far, so good
That movement was lessened by the fact that one side of the Expedit was up against a wall. After that experiment, I decided to cover the entire back of my next two 5 X 5 Expedits. On the third one, I even used those wall anchors. I had to wait on the wall anchors until the Expedit was full of LPs and had time to sink into the carpet.
My Better Homes & Gardens shelves sit on hard wood floors, and beside the angle bracket, the tops are anchored to the wall with straps that came with the shelves. No movement so far.

wow. There is one thing you can do if you can't or don't want to put a back on the rack- a brace (1 or 2) straight from rack to wall stud would hold it in place and you wouldn't have to empty the rack. Granted, it's not as pretty that way but you would not have to empty the cab to get to the backs.
The BHaG racks are surprisingly well made and sturdy, better than anything I've ever purchased from Ikea which is considerable.
from the reviews it looks like this one has too. The expedit shelving I originally owned around 2005 were much sturdier and better finished than what they make now. It started with the quality of the finish (veneer) and then the width of the pieces were trimmed etc. This latest batch is the kallax, thinner and cheaper than the expedit. When and if I move, these shelves will hit the landfill and I will build some plywood shelving.

Expedit was monumentally heavy and difficult to load onto a cart at the store, unload from the car when you got home. I bought quite a few of them and they're a bitch. Lucky I didn't give myself a hernia.
Anyway, I have a couple of Kallax, loaded with LPs and they can manage the burden just as well as Expedit did.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
It also had to do with saving wood and sustainability. See link:
I have had several of the Better Homes and Gardens racks for about 5 years. They are very sturdy, well made and good looking. Very inexpensive.
No brainer, would never consider anything else.
Have 25 yr old Ikea 'stuf' and recently bought Exact same items.
Which are Identical in materials/construction.
.
I bought 6x of the 'BILLY' at about 15" wide and 1 of the CD storage units in the same height.
I added a bunch of extra shelves (needed 'em all) AND the 45 degree 'corner' mount.
Toss in 4x Glass over Panel doors.
I bought a shelf from the home store and used that UNDER the shelves. Everything bolts TO the wall.....Each end unit is 2x into the wall and others just 1x. ALL are bolted together with a special fastener I found with round heads on BOTH sides. 4 of them with 1 between each adjacent pair.
I may add 4x top enclosures with doors, later. I'm simply OUT of space even though my projected added FEET of shelf space.
Old shelves....at least one of 'em is NOW bolted to the wall in the garage acting as a pantry shelf...
Increased Kitchen storage at least 4x by THAT move...
Too much is never enough
I've just bought two new 5x5 Kallax as I've moved an old 5x5 Expedit into another room. The only thinner section is the top and bottom panel where the thickness serves no purpose. The overall aesthetic I find far better with the now equally matched panels and the finish on the whole item in regards the vinyl veneer is better.

Many years ago I bought four 15x15x30 storage boxes at an unfinished furniture store. Each 15x15 opening had one vertical divider so setting them up horizontally two by two worked perfectly in a 5' wide alcove.
To make them more practical for record storage I glued 3/4x3/4 stop block strips 12 1/2" inside each opening.
The boxes were made from particle board but once painted they were strong and held up for decades.

No problems. Happy for the price. IIRC, delivery was free.

For folks who are looking, Walmart's web site shows them under "cube organizer". I've actually been thinking about going the Ikea route, but this might be an alternative. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the information and link. I wonder how thick the shelves because the specs state each shelf can hold 50 pounds and the top can handle 100 pounds. These must be very robust.
Compared to the IKEA Kallax which 29 pounds per shelf and 50 pounds on top. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/kallax-shelf-unit-white-80275887/
I a 2x4 B and G, and recently assembled a 3x3 Kallax unit for my sister. The Ikea was easier to assemble (not that the other was hard,) and it it seems to be a bit lighter so maybe it's load bearing capacity is less. I would probably choose the Kallax if I had an Ikea near me, but since I don't I would buy another Walmart unit if (when?) I need it.
