Highly unusual.
I have his address in Virginia but IIRC, he moved to another state not long ago. I don't have that address, can't look him up, his real name is not unusual enough to turn up anything meaningful on the interwebs.
Anybody hear anything?
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?

The levels of personal care and concern expressed here so often. How many other online sites do you know with this kind of personal outreach?
I too am very glad to learn of cactus' progress.
And I hope we will hear a similarly positive report from Opus in time.

Sometimes we can only speculate. For example, I was diagnosed with a malignant lymphoma on my brain back in July. The tumor was removed and I underwent four rounds of high dose chemotheraply, five day inpatient sessions. So I had been 'out of action' for most of the past four months, spending much time in the hospital or just weak and recovering from the effects of chemo. On a positive note, a recent MRI showed that chemo had done it's job. With my cancer being especially prone to relapse, my oncologist is recommending a stem cell transplant. That would efffectively put me out of touch with the world for about 4 weeks.
This is not to suggest that Opus 33 1/3 has serious health issues (and I certainly hope that's not the case), but anything is possible.
I'm really glad to hear that the procedures are working for you. Ever since you first posted on your diagnosis I've been thinking of you. And I always love to see your dog pics! As I always say, a dog home is a happy home. Best wishes, Chuck (I'm a happy Samoyed companion--hard to call myself her owner, more like her "human")
Getting stronger with each passing day. Hope to get on with consolidation (stem cell transplant) in the near future. Here I am with Chico and Lucky on a hike a couple months ago, between rounds of chemo. Second photo is just a couple weeks ago, listening to music with Lucky in the studio.

Sometimes it just helps to turn off the switch and eliminate the noise.
On that note I have well wishes for Opus.
It sucks to get old. It really sucks to get old and bitter.

Thanks for the follow up, Dude.
I had no idea he'd moved from VA.

mail forwarding could still get a message to him, try it
