"Try vacuuming-I know, I know . . ."If I could find a small, reasonably priced, relatively quiet hand-held vacuum for a quick sweep around the LP prior to playing, I'd probably abandon my AudioQuest brushes because of the fibers that fall out and end up on my records. But despite the shedding I'm still using the brushes; I haven't noticed problems from the loose fibers. I'd be willing to spend two to four times the price of the AudioQuest brushes if I knew the fibers wouldn't shed.

A very small vacuum with velvet lips would be a novel idea, as long as additional static is avoided.
I did a quick internet search today for hand-held vacuums and didn't see anything that was well-suited to vacuuming an LP. Mainly it's the brush head that's lacking; everything is set up for copious quantities of pet hair and dirt. Not really what I find on my cleaned albums when I pull them from the sleeves. I thought about constructing a custom DIY adapter, similar to my RCM vacuum pads but I'm getting lazy in my old age. It strikes me as odd that with cartridges commonly selling for five figures and all sorts of vinyl accessories going for a hundred bucks or more that someone hasn't come up with a decent LP brush/mini-vacuum.

I'd buy at least one of those brushes also and know other people as well
