Not surprised that they're back. I kept one Peaches crate for nostalgia's sake but shortened it so it's now about the size of the plastic crates I used to use for record storage. I keep my compilation LPs in it, the ones that don't have a specific band or artist.
I'm tempted to buy one just for the memorys it invokes.
When I got back into LPs 20 years ago and my collection started to consume everything, I called around to a couple of local fruit markets asking if they could sell me any empty orange crates. Got laughed at.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
Use to have around 25 of those filled to the brim, but they were a lot bigger than your pic....
Peaches was my local record store in Atlanta in 1980, when I finally made enough money to buy records. They used to give stamps that were good for discounts and if you shopped on Tuesdays, you got double discounts for your stamps. I got a lot of records for between $3 and $5. I built a huge part of my collection off those stamps.
The stores were huge. I would flip through the records until my fingers were exhausted
