Los Lobos, the recording, and all their different instruments are top notch and a delight to the ears
Saw them at the Caravan of Dreams, a small, intimate nightclub in Fort Worth in 1999. Saw them again for free at the Dallas Museum of Art in 2006.
The Caravan show was utterly amazing. I was already a huge fan by then, but seeing them up close was really a treat. The outdoor show at DMA was just as good, but obviously not quite the same as the Caravan.
Although I'm pretty sure they're on CD only, if you haven't you may want to check out the releases from the Latin Playboys. One of Lobos spinoff efforts.
bass guitar gives you woofers a real workout down to 31 hz. Another great bunch
That Latin Playboys are awesome.
Think Los Lobos on acid. Their first release was recorded at the end of the Kiko sessions.
Kiko is my favorite LL album.
Freak out...Far out...In out....
soundtrack on LP. They look a little different these days, but I cannot complain when I am 75.
Waylon Jennings covered the title track, but Los Lobos version is far superior IMO.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
and haven't stopped yet.
Me and Frank and the rest of us here are lifelong fans.

LL has done so much for so long that touting their skills just doesn't do them justice. One of my favorite shows. Would see them again in a LA second.
