And that is the reason I haven't been around here.To tell the truth I like Rega tonearms but I am not impressed by their tables. For the money you get a quality tonearm but the table is not impressive.
To tell the truth I have not looked into their recent high end models. My Rega impressions have been formed over a lot of years. I have worked on quite a few Rega tables and none of them impressed me.
They look like a slab of MDF with a DC motor stuck underneath. You get a belt on the pulley included on the motor which gives you 33 and 45 RPM ability.
It's not exactly high tech but, like I said above, you get a very good tonearm for your money. The tonearm also requires many upgrades to make it sing but it can be very good.
You get a very good tonearm on a OK table when you buy a Rega. It's not a bad deal but you have to know what you are buying.
The high end Rega's have never been on my radar. When you get in that price range I don't even think about Rega products.
Rega deserves kudos for selling products that get first time vinyl users a turntable that plays very good sounding music for the money.
Well done Rega...

Wow! What a backhanded compliment! "What the right hand giveth, the left hand taketh away". When you look at the overengineered much heavier tables, it's easy to dismiss Rega. They simply don't look that impressive. But from experience I can tell you they can sound very good. As I've reported here, I've owned the much more expensive Acustic Raven One for several years and ultimately sold it and bought a Rega RP 6 which I upgraded with a Groovetracer Subplatter. I've been so content with it, that I have no plans to upgrade to their more expensive tables. And what do you mean, you've worked on quite a few Rega tables? Did you ever own any?

I have never been that impressed by Rega turntables where I would have bought one. I have listened to some different models but never at length. There was nothing there that drew me in.
I am sure many people do find them excellent, I am not one of them. Maybe it was the cartridges on the Rega tables that turned me off.
I'm sure Rega fans probably feel the same way about the tables I have owned over the years. Its OK. I hope you find the Rega tables that you use produce excellent quality tunes. I will stick with what I have.
