helps me keep things organized, also a good insurance policy list, as they supply values to each LP. Their accompanying mobile app allows me to access the info when I am away from home looking at something say in Tokyo. A final plus is that someday my wife with inherit 7K records and have some idea what they are worth.

I started a database a few years ago, but after starting with jazz, several hours later I still hadn't worked my way up to Count Basie.

If you are talking about adding records that aren't in the data base then yes that is mysterious to say the least. Adding records you already own to your "collection", you just find the LP you have (correct pressing), and add to collection with the button on the right. The site is clunky as hell as far as editing goes. I have sold around 30 LP's there, stuff I didn't want to muddy my ebay account with, and it is cool because of the ease (except of course actually finding what pressing you have in your hand).
I'll give it a try at some point.
Hey, I actually like Discogs better than Ebay. I've done very well there. Purchases only, I don't sell on either site.

At one point, around 2002, 2003, I was hitting Jerry's Records two or three times a week, picked up hundreds of LPs for three or four dollars and they're worth far more now.
