I'd likely still use the VPI, if only for the ability to do a serious rinse after uSonic cleaning.
Follow Ups:
Kirmuss does not rinse. The rinse is via a distilled water spray manually applied outside the machine after the final bath. Further down this thread I posted about the regimen I've settled on.
I thought long and hard about keeping my 16.5 to do the drying, but the distilled water spritz and microfiber drying clothes worked so well I just stopped using the 16.5 altogether. And finally sold it.
I invested in several more of the drying clothes though. After I finish cleaning a batch I soak the drying clothes in a distilled water bath, wring them out and let them air dry.
i like the harbor freight microfiber cloths, cost effective and easy to get.
i lay the LP on its side after the spin clean and with the cloth folded in fours, follow the grooves lightly each side and then air dry on lucite photo frame lucite tripods from walmart. it's what i would do if i had the Kirmuss.
i wash them in the washer using no fabric conditioner and air dry on a rack.
