So I just got this cleaner after much humming and hoeing and of course the cost! I have been cleaning my carts for years with the Onzow gel, Magic Erasure, AT607 fluid - Blue Tack; I DO NOT want to get into that!
Anyway, I had to use it without the platter in place because of the height. It brought my stylus back to clear, new condition. How did I get along without this marvelous little gadget?
Cheers, Doug
Follow Ups:
I too have this gadget along with the Onzow and Tru-Clean. I use the Flux once every two weeks, Onzow/Tru-Clean after every side. Will certainly extend the life of my $2800 cartridge. I highly recommend fir anyone with a > $1500 cartridge.
I considered it but the thickness of its stylus platform makes it impractical from my point of view as it looks like it exceeds the height that the armlift raises the cartridge above the platter surface. Hence the OP's comment " Anyway, I had to use it without the platter in place because of the height."
Of course I could solve the issue by raising the arm pillar and so undo correct VTA/SRA :-(

Kind of an answer in search of a question in my mind.If there were a neighborhood Stylus Health Clinic I could take my cartridge to and the Diamond Doctor, pointing to the 1,000X magnified screen, said after clucking his tongue and shaking his head, "Baron, brushing and Blu-Tack dabbing aren't enough. This stylus demands immediate ultrasonic treatment and the benefits outweigh the risks."
Or perhaps I could just continue as I have until my musician's ear told me, as it did recently, that something was amiss and sent it to Peekskill.

I have 2 of these Signets and they still work perfect. Frequency is about 400hz, built in light, easy to handle. They should make it again.
I bought the 1st one in '85 at a local dealer. They don't make local dealers anymore.

Those are getting rare, that's why I took the plunge. I got mine for 190 CDN at Analogue Seduction. And I am using it on my AT ART 9.

You want to subject my $1,000 Dollar cartridge suspension to ultra sonic vibrations?
