I remember my father's Miracord from the '50's. It was all dark red, with a curved one piece tonearm that might have been made of bakelite. (See link below.) It plugged into a Pilot amp that drove an Electrovoice corner-loaded speaker in the living room. Good stuff for the 1950's, and it got me hooked.
The 10H was built like a tank; my brother was the anti-tank gun. Dad let him take to school and that was the end of it.
