Their "small box" (not the smallest one though) is the perfect size for LPs. These boxes are fairly sturdy, hold about 70-75 LPs, and are heavy but manageable when full. Larger boxes would be quite heavy. When I unfold them, I reinforce the seams and corners with some nice packing tape.
I probably have 20 of these boxes full of records in storage. And they can be stacked 3 or 4 high and not break down. I think they are about $2 each, perhaps less if bought in a 10-pack. 500 LPs will probably take 8 boxes. Buy 10 and have 2 left over for books. Most people have some books.
