I'm curious what the upgrades are because I might want to do that to mine.

John, Don wasn't specific with exact part types. He notes Mundorf caps as an upgrade on his web site, but he seems to have altered his stock build.
He mentioned to me "The basic version I am building now uses a cap combo that I think is excellent and renders the Mundorf silver oil caps unnecessary. I use a nice film and foil cap bypassed by a small value of Russian Teflon cap. It sounds great and it is very detailed. Just takes 40-50 hours to fully run in.
I did pay for all film caps (type not disclosed) in the power supply as well as the wood case.
