It simply gets the midrange right. Period.
Garth was an early proponent of the 103 family. And since he had forgotten more about vinyl playback than I'll ever know, I followed his advice.
Got two 103s now. One relatively new and unmodded. One transplanted into a Uwe ebony body and Soundsmith elliptical retipped. Love 'em both.
