I was pleasantly surprised by the new pressing. The sonic presentation is pretty close to the MoFi UHQR sonics. It doesn't have the same depth and weight in the low end, compared to the UHQR, but that's asking a lot.
The pressing is also very quiet which was a nice surprise. If you do not have a good copy of Sgt Peppers and want one that delivers on all fronts, this pressing is a no hesitation recommendation.
Its a very good choice if your Peppers pressings are somewhat noisy and worn out. This one restores the original sound and you will enjoy this LP once again, as if it were first released.
It is very, very well done.

Follow Ups:
I've only heard it on Spotify because I'm not really a Beatles guy and even in that envirnment it's clearly a completely different mix than any Beatles I've ever heard.... and better sounding. That album is very tempting even for me.
Better in every way and beautifully balanced.

So they got close to the original stereo mix?
If so then what was the point of re-mixing?
I just watched a video of an interview with the engineer who said the original mix was mono. The Stereo mix was an after thought, not even done by the real session engineers.

Maybe just Google it. This edition has been written about hundred of times since last year in every known publication.

Not following at all how you went from what you quoted to what you concluded?
This is a remix and much better done than the after thought original stereo mix. This sounds better than any previous release remastered, too. Not even close. This is totally well balanced and full sounding. My only thought is that a bit more overall compression was used but who cares this sounds great.
Agreed on all counts. This version is the new reference standard for Beatles albums.
