I work for Dave Mason for seven years starting in 1998 (on and off since) as a recording engineer, studio tech and on the road mixing front of house. He is a great guitar player and a hell of a singer, songwriter etc.
Pretty damned good producer as well.
At the top of the landing, left to right, that's me with the mustache, Richard Campbell (bass), Johnne Sambataro (guitar)
The rest of the band consisted of Greg Babcock (drums) and Bobby Scumaci (keys)
The link below is the whole show. (be sure to check out "Look at You, Look at Me" @ 28:00)
I didn't mix the sound for the DVD but the crowd is hearing my live mix.
They seemed to have a good time. :-)

Thanks for sharing. Dave Mason is a big part of the soundtrack of my becoming. Here in Philly, I used to work with a woman who claimed her daughter was dating Dave many years ago. I did not know her daughter but I kept thinking of ways to get to know her and maybe meet Dave. Hazy days.
Thanks again.
Still spinnin'...

Nice post Tre'. Top of the landing in a the white T-shirt?
In the video clip "Dave Mason - Live At Sunrise DVD Bonus Footage" Dave is walking up to the loading dock at the Sunrise Musical Theater.
I'm standing there on the left with Richard Campbell and Johnne Sambataro (also in a white T-shirt).
In 14 months I found I wasn't really suited for life on the road. It takes a certain kind of person to put up with the rigors of the road.
Don't get me wrong, doing the shows was great but dealing with airports, living out of a bag in a motel room, every night being late night etc. wasn't my "cup of tea".
It was a great experience and I'm glad I did it but it's not the life for me.
I gained a lot of respect for the guys that spend years on the road. It's a tough life and a lot of hard work.

I know what you mean by the touring lifestyle. However my brother, had a great time with a DOD (Department of Defense) tour of the south pacific, Philippines, Japan, and Korea in the mid 80s. You can imagine the escapades of a young 20 something single male...WOOHOO! All expenses paid plus $300 a week per band member. A veritable god to the service guys, while sampling the "pearls" of the orient.
