Actually, I don't know how it got warped. I purchase the TD-125 off of Ebay. When I received it, I went to town working on it. I found that the motor shaft was bent and got a partial refund for that. I didn't discover the warp until later when it was to late to contact the seller.....
Follow Ups:
I had a similar experience purchasing my TD124 many years ago on eBay. The seller didn't remove the platter before shipping as instructed but instead supported it (????) with a little bit of foam. The bearing and spindle assembly arrived obviously bent, but I was able to source a replacement. Once I got that sorted, I realized the aluminum platter was a bit warped as well, but I was fortunate to find brand new iron platter on eBay for $99 (obviously this was some time ago.) So I suspect your problem was caused by poor packaging in shipping at some time of its life.
Befriend a local machinist.
