Why all the negativity? Based on no experience? Crazy.
Follow Ups:
... I used, and swore by VPI JMW arms ever since the first one was introduced, what, 20 year ago? I ended up with the 10.5i model, 3 armtubes, and (unfortunately) 9 cartridges. It took a good friend who had followed the same path to prove to me that I could better this setup -- in his and my system at least, in our humble opinions -- for a lot less.* While also easily and inexpensively accommodating the nine cartridges.
The "wobble" business never bothered either of us. But this latest bandaid? Yeah, it will no doubt satisfy those users who WERE bothered by it, but its other contributions would seem mostly ... adding a little friction. And no, I'm not planning to find out otherwise.
Sue me :-)
* specifics are in my Inmate Systems listing.
If wobble is really a problem, they should redo their bearing or add silicone damping. A bandage doesn't make sense to me.
