Have you tried DSD?
Never tried DSD. I thought you can only try that format if you have a SACD player? How would I play DSD from my computer?
Follow Ups:
I haven't had a computer in my system for a few years now. My Oppo BDP-105D plays nearly everything digital including SACDs as well as DSD files from USB drives. My TASCAM DA-3000 has a front panel USB port that accepts USB flash drives containing DSD files -- both 2.8-MHz and 5.6-MHz DSD. I found computer streaming much less convenient than using autonomous digital players like my Oppo and TASCAM.
My system is an audio/video system and my Oppo BDP-105D Universal Digital Player is basically the heart of my system. It plays everything digital from discs as well as USB drives. It is connected to the internet and contains streaming software for Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, and a number of other internet sources. It can also be used as an external DAC for computer streaming, but I find it much more convenient to leave computers out of my audio system.

So if I were to purchase Oppo player, where can I find DSD encoded albums available to download?

Did you try searching the internet for "DSD Downloads"? That would be my suggestion.
