......new, or old, there's no suspension at all and, pretty much nothing to break. IMHO they can't touch a used Linn, and my TD124MKii could not either, but that's a completely different story.
A Rega is about as painless a turntable as exists, provided the lack of suspension does not cause a problem with springy floors and the like.

I love my Rega's no suspension. Fuss free with the bolted shelf affixed to the studs. Coming from an Oracle fancy pants, what a relief!

My sentiments exactly.
I enjoyed all the years of hours building, modifying and fussing with everything but I haven't aged like the nimble folks in the advertising.
All I want to do now is just cue it up and listen.
I went from an LP12 to this about 6 or 7 years back... Primarily because it's "set and forget"
