Yes after further review your book is recommended reading along with a half a dozen others just depends on what you are looking for and how deep you care to go. I myself would just like a few copies of the early blues recordings some Son House would be very nice. Talking Paramounts. Ever listen to Horace Sprott? I just picked up some of his work amazing to listen to him, I keep going back in time with the blues and just when I think I have enough something happens and I realize how little I really know. But man do I love the blues.

to settle on a 1929 reprint of the Paramount All Stars on the Tempo label.
My earliest blues 78 is "Guitar Rag" by Sylvester Weaver from 1927. I was fortunate to find that one cheap when no one else was looking.
I did receive for two Christmases the Jack White Paramount box sets, so that will have to be my only Paramounts for now.
I had to google for Horace Sprott, as I had never heard of him before. My favorite blues is the acoustic folk blues as opposed to the Chicago electric blues. At times though, Horace Sprott is even too primitive for me. I do like his harmonica work.
Well I have always enjoyed what Son House did with the one cut Grinnin in your Face but yea I at one time never thought I would get involved with the field hollers and all that goes with them but his recording really hit me along with his interviews Sprott I am speaking of. Nice Sylvester Weaver you got there. As far as having the money for the Paramounts no I didn't say I would be interested in paying for them more like finding one at a show or a yard sale something like that. That is the thing with the blues it goes in so many directions, from like you said Chicago to Piedmont all that talent amazing. I got bit with the blues bug over 50 years ago and it never let up.

They recomened several books, Ijust put it out there because I follow the blues mag, and thought there might be a person or two who might of read the article or had some thoughts on the whole issue. It was a well written article and very informative on top of that.
