But also, that brings back memories! That AT11E is the cartridge that came with my first ever "real" turntable, a Philips 437. It was part of a package system my parents bought for me at a Tech HiFi used/demo store as a Christmas present in 1978 when I was 13.And now I have an AT13ea on the Technics SL 1301. I got it on another Philips, the AF877, that I bought for $50 from a guy off of Craig's List about 6 years ago. It's stylus was dead, so I bought a new replacement stylus after getting the table, and barely used it as I soon replaced it with a Sure M97xe.
So, after the AT13ea sat in a drawer for 6 years, I put in on the Technics. At first it sounded a bit dry and bright, but NOW after about 12 or so hours of spinning records over the past few days, it sounds fantastic. I was worried about compliance mismatch, but I don't know. It sounds great! And it LOOKs so right on this table of the same era. :-)

Don't bother if you are happy with how it now sounds.

It wasn't clear to me whether I might need some kind of shim or adapter between the cartridge and that head shell as it seems recessed, but I haven't done any measurements. I'll definitely look into it and see how much each weighs.
Thanks.
