Santa was good to me for Christmas. Thanks to the Music Direct catalog I was able to identify a number of LP's that I would like and gave them a priority so Santa (my wife) would not have to guess which to get.
So, I got:
Nirvana - Nevermind
James Brown - 20 All Time Greatest Hits
Bill Withers - Greatest Hits (MFSL Release)
Big Brother & the Holding Company - Cheap Thrills (MFSL Release).
I will be listening to them tomorrow. I have stopped checking Thrift Stores and am now concentrating on new releases. This way I can fill in either genres I don't have or upgrade a current LP I have but is not in great shape to a mint condition LP.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and will be having a safe New Years.
Richard

See ya. Dave
I guess I was better than I thought. Santa (my wife) procured this from Italy!
Anxious to hear your impressions on the SQ of the last three.
Good haul it sounds like a nice variety. I have what two of the Lps you mentioned for sure. Something about getting new Lps or rather additional recordings that is a real kick. I am about to go down to my music room and listen to some recordings i cant say what because as I go to pull a recording out I seem to get diverted to something else sorta like getting on the computer to look something up never know where I will land on and listen to.
