Goodwills in my area refused TVs and computer monitors. Reason: if it didn't sell, they had to pay extra to dispose of them. Most items can go into the Dumpster. But the TVs needed special disposal. They have gone to taking TVs and computer monitors, because I think they now get free recycling. So they can take TVs, try to sell them, and if they don't sell, it doesn't cost them to dump them.
Slide Rules are pretty much useless too...
There is a collectable market for slide rules, however.
At least for the bedroom. The CRT TV, that is... The slide rule, not so much.
