...which was so good that I decided to investigate other products from the company. Found a 47 Labs Phonocube for sale on the used market and the previous owner said he had an MC Bee he would consider selling as part of the package.
The MC Bee I'm using is the new edition with the round metal mounting plate...other than that, I don't believe that there have been any changes.
Your description "music just seems to pour out" is fitting. I'm using an all 47 Labs amplification chain (along with the MC Bee) and my Totem speakers have never sounded so good. Instruments and voices sound spooky real, and the whole system just seems to let the music flow. I'm very happy with the 47 Labs products.
Best regards...
Follow Ups:
Always wanted to hear the amps and CD players. You're fortunate to have the Phonocube; the 4718 phono stage I had alongside the McBee wasn't too good. It took the arrival of the Aqvoxx phono pre and re-wiring my tonearm with a balanced cable to make it work. And how!
Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a

I can't use a cartridge lighter than 5g on my tonearm. :(
...but the latest model has a circular metal mounting plate which looks like it would add some weight.
I did a quick google search but couldn't find any weight specs.
I bet that might does it actually.
I have to ask the distributor how much the current one weighs.
Knowing 47Labs house sound, I figure that a McBee should be pretty decent.
