A nice audio stab from the past.
Follow Ups:
"Antelope Freeway, 1/512 mile"
It wasn't until a few months ago that I learned Antelope Freeway is a real highway in California.
"Hey, Ralph, that's great fidelity on that FM"
Was the protagonist an audiophile?
----- Dan
"Where the hell's all the f***ing kangaroos?", Thelonious Monk in Australia, circa 1965, during drive from Sydney to Newcastle
Their albums are thick with LA references that I never got because I'm an East Coaster, like, "Pico and Alvarado have been out on patrol for a long time."
When I first visited LA I kept running Firesign Theater and Zappa in my head. "Going to El Monte Legion Stadium..." "Selling lamps and chairs to San Ber'dino squares..." etc.

Don't worry about the flies, we won't weigh 'em.
