Pretend to be Mike? He's nobody. You did a nice job there my friend and that Mike guy should feel honored you mentioned him.You did a fabulous job from what I see and it's nice and neat and truthfully,I think it looks and no doubt sounds better than original. The only think I suggest would be putting in Schottky Cree diodes in the power supply. That does help these units quite a bit.
Which lytics did you change out for orange drops because I don't know of any orange drops as big as lytics in value?

Coupling off the 6u8's into the balance control were two 1uF electrolytics. 1uF is a pretty big orange drop but I was able to fit them. Somewheres else I inserted another pair but for the life of me I can't remember where or why.

Now I remember. There were some .1uF Ceramics that a Mac service bulletin recommended switching.

I'm aware of the 1uf caps and I always use a 1uf Solen film and tin foil there but I would use a 116p if I had some in 1uf.Definitely put some Schottkys in because you can get those for a couple bucks and it makes a noticeable difference.I also use the red audiophiler caps there and even tho they are metallized, they sound quite good. I have used Auricaps there as well and they sound quite good as well.
