No it's a tweeter. Do not try to butter it! However, whats in the link is probably your best bet to replaace it.Dave

Got 'em, sent you an e-mail.
Just replied to your mail. It should be fun chipping and prying this little baby off...(hot glue, seriously?) The other one was already replaced by someone with a generic taiwan tweeter, again with a glue of some type...it came off reasonably easily.

Just for yucks you could try repairing the rip with some flexible glue like silicone and see if it sounds better than as it does as is. You might still want to replace it, but we all might learn something from it. It would have to be flexible, and you wouldn't want to use too much.
I'd say so. Those Peerless cone tweeters are pretty cheap. I'd replace both of them.
