Not what you expect to see at the flea
Market for all to touch grab and prod.
$3500. A steal he says. Should sell for
Twice that.
But also has- as he put it- matching amp.
Both for $4000.
Matching amp turned out to be mc 250

You can thank Ebay for that kind of nonsense. What bothers me is they are too damn lazy to list it on Ebay and do the shipping, but they still expect to get Ebay prices. Whenever I hear some doofus at a hamfest or flea market say "that is what they are getting on Ebay", my response is always "this ain't Ebay."
Funny story ...
At the local flea I found a small item I wanted. They sell on FleaBay for $5.
The seller was asking $9.
I offered $5 and was told that they sell for $9, with shipping, on eBay.
I said, since I am standing right here, why don't you just hand it to me so I don't have to pay shipping and I'll give you five bucks.
She stood her ground and did not budge.
Nuts.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
That is a McIntosh C22 reissue. If you look at the link below, $3500.00 is a good price.
My comment was general, not specific to the C-22.
Sorry for not being clear.

My fault Dean, my response was to the original poster, not your comment. I should have changed the title line.
It certainly is an interesting piece to have pop up at a flea market.
The flea markets where I am are all held in fields, not the best place for buying electronics.
One has a flag pole in the center with a power outlet. I've carried units across the field and plugged them in to see if they light up.
I've made some good buys, but its certainly a risk without testing.
Biggest surprise was a Thorens TD-125 that was being sold as "dead" for very cheap money. I brought it home, put a belt on it and it was fine.
I wonder if the seller knew it needed a belt ?

Or this one.
yea, I hate those rednecks at the hamfests trying to get over on other hams and collectors with their ridiculous prices and other bullshit. And yes, I can say that as I grew up in a redneck section of redneck town surrounded by rednecks and with almost redneck parents, though I thought my father was better than that as he actually valued intelligence...
I would not over $1000 for it. Fisher 400 sounds better at half the price.
Bit much especially here.
Not the place for that kind of
Transaction
for a late seventies, early eighties solid state integrated. A tube amp, I could see it happening. BTW I'm guessing on the vintage as I can't see for the glare and adjusted angle.
