I know you got answers on the questions you had - but I wanted to point out that the 39 pf ceramic cap is an "NPO" capacitor. This is a very high grade cap with tight tolerances and much better specs in general than a run of the mill ceramic.
I'd replace it with a good film cap or a silver mica. NPO ceramics are a bit hard to find and pricey these days.

COG is an alternative name for NPO dielectric. Fortunately, Mouser stock # 75-561R10TCCQ39 fills the requirement at 74 cents each. That's not especially expensive for a 5% tolerance/1000 WVDC part.

I forgot about that designation since I rarely use ceramics.But if you are looking for them they are C0G (C-zero-G) not C-letter O-G. It may help if you are doing a search.
Also, if you want to know what C0G stands for, the EIA codes are listed on the page below. Just scroll down about 10-20% of the page.
