That's a power transformer out of a Marantz receiver. It fits a couple models but many of wires went to the voltage tap switch and all you have to do is find the primary wires for the 117v or 120v tap and hook a cord up those and see if you get voltage out of similar colored wires. Do you have a model number of the unit it came out of?

Mikey,
It came out of a Marantz 2245. A link to the 1st thread about an ABUSED unit is provided below.

Oh, yes, didn't mean to be cryptic, I meant to post this under the thread. This is the transformer from the previously amphibious Marantz 2245, which I am parting out now. Sorry about the confusion..

What's the claimed power O/P for the Marantz 2245? I ask because, believe it or not, it can be adapted for use with tubed circuitry. Magnetics are expensive and the money saved on buying a power trafo can be used, among other things, to buy the parts needed for the complex voltage multiplier supply needed.

For 120vac operation he needs to tie white to brown and red to yellow and then yellow and brown will be his primary leads.
So twist the white and brown wires together and the red and yellow together and then take your continuity check between yellow and brown which is also where you hook it up to 120vac. The primaries of course will have the white and red wires hooked as well now.

Thank you!
