In my studio (apartment), there is an open doorway (into the foyer) near the right speaker. The wall behind the listening pistion is 14' 5" and the wall behind the speakers is 12'3". Similarly, the wall on the side of the left speaker is 17'10" while the wall on the right is 13' 1". This opening is spoiling the way I hear the sound. I read somewhere that one solution is to place absorbing material on the left wall, to bring back symmetry with the open wall. (the option of moving the speakers to the other side is something I want to avoid, since the wall near the listening postion is not a brick wall-problems from neighbours etc, plus I will have to move everything around). if aborbing material is a solution you think is right, what should I use to get maximum absorption, since it should somewhat correspond to the open wall. Thanks
