Does anyone know of a company that would add a coaxial digital output to a CD player? I know that MSB does it for $385, but is there any company that might do it significantly cheaper than that? Thanks
kevb
WHy bother when you can literally get a CD player that comes stock with digital output for less than 300 bucks!Get yourself a new one instead.
Bow Wow!
I agree, any decent CD player comes with a digital output. The Cambridge Audio CD4 is a good entry level CD player, I saw it on sale at Sound City for under $200.
I actually bought a DVD player just for this express purpose (Pioneer DVD525 for $250 with 5 free DVDs and 14 free rentals !!!).
According to one DAC manufacturer DVD players have less low frequency jitter (I understand jitter, but I dont know what low-freq jitter is ).
