I just bought a Foreplay with the Anticipation and Sweet Whispers mods. I am a neophyte at constructing one of these. I want to be able to use the preamp to have the capability to record tapes, so I'm guessing that the Foreplay only has an input, but not an output. How do I install this capability, and what parts do I need to get it done? Please for my sake, use detail generalized instructions. Also, are the tubes already 'burnt in'? I forgot to ask when I purchased the kit.
Check the archives on the Bottlehead Forum. There was a thread on this topic.

Eli,
I searched the archives, but found nothing. If you know of the link, do tell. If not, could you explain in detail? Please remember, I am new at this. I found some interesting topics and problems that may occur during assembly. This is a great resource.
Hi Steve, most of the Foreplay problems reported to us are caused by builder's carelessness while there are only a handful of them are due to parts problem. For newbies we have a Foreplay web construction page:
Quest's Foreplay web construction page:

As for adding a tape loop that's easy:
Connect the volume pot wiper contact to another set of RCA jacks and use that as a tape REC out.Don't forget to add a switch so as to cut off the connection to that tape REC out when you don't need them.
You may also resort to cutting the set of RCA input jacks to only 2 and save 1 for output and another one for tape REC out.
Good luck!

Quest,
Thanks for the input. I've been to your thread, and it's helped me a great deal.
