Isn't it strange that this opamp has not been mentioned here more often?!From the spec it is quite impressive, beating even the expensive and single OPA627/637 in many areas. Last night it sounded quite impressive too.
Well if it takes long time to burn in, I'll leave it in my phono stage for a while. Then I'll do a more serious comparison between it and dual OPA637's. So far it's the best ADI opamps I've heard.
Cheers.
Follow Ups:
How weird, i tried the 627 in my cd player with a single op-amp and i thought it sounded really thin (clear/clean, but thin) 6171 nice but a bit hard sounding. 604 (single) was nice but not quite right. In my cd player with dual op-amps the best so far is the LT1361 - very nice - soundstaging etc from this op-amp is the best i have heard. Just my 2 penneth. Would like to try the AD826, but is quite expensive in UK

Go to www.analog.com or whatever their website is called.
Order a couple of free samples and you'll have them this time next week. That's what I did. (I'm in UK too..)I also did that with Nat Semi and BB/TI.
Sometimes you have to make up stuff to qualify, but they're not going to send anybody to your house to check that your a product designer, student or whatever you claim to be.
