I have a Sony multidisk player that is having a difficult time opening and closing the round drawer. If I open up the lid and raise the sliding drawer, while it is closing, it helps quite a bit. I am thinking about trying to align the drawer so it does not drag as much and then the idea of greasing the drawer slides came up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, I took apart and greased my JVC CD player slides with the high end lube my brother uses on his mountain bike chain. Has worked well since. You might have to use a fine lint clean cloth to wipe the slides clean first before you apply the lube. It's probably some kind of grease? lubrication the manufacturer used, that has caked up on the slide, which caused the problem on my set.I think it says Specialized on the can of grease I used. Not familiar with bike stuff. Sorry. Hope this helps

Thanks for the information about bike lube. I had not thought about using it. I will check with my local bike shop to see what they have.
