hi john, thanks for the input. so am i correct about just taking a pair of the 6.2v. zeners, and connect anode to cathode and replace a single 12.6v. with same polarity i assume? any suggestions on 6.2v. zeners to use. their feeding i believe it's LF353p op-amps. thanks alot, ALLEY-KAT

The LF353 should be upgraded if possible. That's where the real improvement will be. Ask Jon Risch for his latest opinion.
