Wayne at Bolder Cables is now offering this damping lacquer as a great ART DI/O tweak (see link below), with rave reviews from a few guys who heard the DI/O before/after the stuff was applied (they said it made the sound warmer, smoother, more natural-sounding, and provided better imaging). Any other experience with this stuff? I have found very few posts on it when searching the archives. In the link, see the first posted message for the brief review:http://www.audiocircle.com/circles/viewtopic.php?t=1152

This sounds interesting. I have a thought but no time to try it out yet but someone may want to give it a try. For the most part this product is carbon as is the C37 if I am not wrong. Well there is a source of stiff but flexible carbon based coating available for almost free, you can even get versions with metalic flake content. Nail polish! Would be great if some one with IC sockets and a set of TubeOlator IC's could compare them with nail polish treated IC's. The mod would be reversible, just scrape it off if you dont like it. If you have socketed IC's it would make sense to me to coat both the top and the underside of the IC. Let us know. Sometimes magic comes cheap! Best regards Moray James.

Here's something I had mentioned also about that tweek that is similar.I have not tried it though.
I would imagine that the Tube-O-Lator tweek would be a marginal improvement at best.Question is weather it is worth it.If I send my DAC back to get the MENSA mod I probably will have him add it and hope it has a good effect.
