All of a sudden, for no particularly good reason, one of the tweeters on my 21 year old Mirage SM-1 died. I’ve confirmed that the tweeter is receiving a signal, and the tweeter itself is the problem. I can’t afford a new pair of speakers at the moment, and I rather like these old Mirages, so I’d like to know what my options for repairing this are. Is there any chance an OEM tweeter would still be available? Is it possible to replace the coil (I’m guessing the coil is what busts on tweeters), or should I be looking to get a new matched pair of tweeters. How do I know what size I need and what type would be a good match. Where do I get them? What should I expect to pay? Thanks for any help,
