is that the type of foam insulation used in that nighclub was probably not very effective at reducing sound outside the nightclub, as it was intended to do.To anyone affected by that tragedy, my thoughts are with you.

I remember building a nightclub (disco) back in the late 70's. We put all the speakers above a suspended ceiling, made for a really cool and clean install..Made 24 2 foot by 4 foot grill cloths using burlap and two by two's. My friend (turns out he was the smart one in the twosome) absolutely insisted on treating the burlap for fire code..In hindsite, he was absolutely correct...I now can appreciate that.Makes you wonder about all the things we tweak, and build...Unfortunately, the wonder will disappear with time, to be forgotten..
