  A great preamp that's quite simple to make. I made it and was extremely happy with the results.

  the AA home page, where you will find sponsor's like Bottlehead who make a killer preamp kit for 150 bucks, or maybe the "Search" function, or maybe even spend some time looking around. Transformers have smoke in them.
