Hi, I am looking for plans to build a single ended SS amp. I know that a company called Pass Labs has them, but they are fairly expensive to build. Are there any other companies that offer them? I am trying to keep the costs down to about 150 per monoblock.
Thanks,
Ben

Not really single ended but a design to rival SE tube sound are the low watt design from L'Audiophile, like 'Le Class A' or '8W Le Monstre' and off breeds of that designs.
Hope that helps

The circuit board for the Zen is $12.95

That's too much? Most of the part are less than $1 each. Why waste money on a board anyway? The board costs more than the parts that mount to it. Here is an Aleph X with twelve outputs. The Zen has less than one fourth the parts count.
Alright to OK.. clean crisp highs, little low end..no threat to a decent 300b ...make Very Good room heaters tho ;-)
Hey Dennishow do these sound vs tube atempts? - once stripped an Eico ST70, set vak ~300dc for ppp 6BX7 with L-input - retained stock 6SN7 inverter, replaced AX7 with DJ8 running Rp 47K - - no loop nfb - fine transformers/fine sound on old Edgarhorn - bit 'faster' than my SE
