I may not be looking in the right place. I was mainly talking about my local parts sources such as RadioShack.I found a set at Parts Express that I think will do, Dayton not WBT. The usual catalog sources, Jameco, Digikey amd Mouser didn't carry much in that regard. In any case I wanted a local walk-in source so because the shipping costs more than the item itself if you only need a couple of small parts.
Follow Ups:
Sam9, the Dayton RCA's (part #091-1120) are just fine. I used a set recently on a headphone amp and the spacers worked as advertised to isolate the jacks from the chassis. For what it's worth, the Dayton plugs are better made than the Radio Shack gold plated jobs that I've used before in my personal opinion. Incidentally, I'm ordering a couple more pair of the Daytons to have on hand in my next order, so my money is where my mouth is on this issue....One time when you can use RCA's without the insulating spacer to the chassis is when you are using a wooden chassis. This is the approach I've taken on my (seemingly eternal) 2A3 project, for what it's worth.
Anyway, good luck with your project!

Those are the ones I've ordered. Should get them by the end of the week. It just irritates me that I can't walk into shop around here and find the equivalent on the rack. They are not rocket science.
"It just irritates me that I can't walk into shop around here and find the equivalent on the rack."I know the feeling Sam9. Within a 90 minute drive of my house there are no less than 6 Radio Shacks but only ONE "regular" electronics store. None of them stock plugs with the spacers. I'm just lucky to be able to walk in to a regular electronics store and buy Kester solder, Belden hookup wire, and NTE resistors! Almost anything else that is more sophisticated than an LED or a knob has to be ordered out; the last time I asked about OPT's for a valve amp, the fellow at the counter gave me the oddest look.....
Any more I'm really wondering what happened to the electronics stores I remember from over 30 years ago as a novice electronics geek....sorry about the rant, you just got me to thinking about the good old days.
Enjoy your music!

Just think what it would be like were RS to fail. It is crap, but it can be visited daily. I remember what it was like. My father fixed radio and tvs. If I needed anything, I could just say, hey Dad. But enough cursing the darkness.
I cannot recall ever buying RS jacks, but it would amaze me were they not isolated by a plastic insert that you could remove.
I couldn't imagine either but that's how they are.
