Covering the speaker with anything other than the original veneer might kill the resale value. If given a choice, I'd opt for the light colored veneer like oak or maple. On the other hand, the leather does sound kind of kinky. Now bend over and bark like a poodle!

I think that silver studs on black leather with maybe a large fake ruby here and there would lend a proper S/M ratio to the room....A matching swing would be OK too! Why don't you apply the stuff my ex-wives used to apply to the kitchen cabinets as it comes right off if you get tired of it?
