Snubbers are caps placed across each diode. It reduces switching noise. Use something like a .01 pp film. Have you try using shottky's instead of hexfreds?

Yes,in phonostage - Schottky were harsh , not smooth like hexfreds.The bridge I replaced was 604G - 200v/4amp.For rating alone,Schottky may be too low - although I measured only 17 volts.Mike
