if i'm to insert a filtered IEC to a low current device (like a cd player), what amperage rating should i use? i saw that Schurter offers 1A, 3A, 5A, and 10A. any ideas? any sonic differences?

also, if the IEC is filtered, does it matter if the power cord is shielded or not? or if the PC has a filtering network on it or not?
