My Scan-Speak 9900 revelator was burned =(.I'm going to use them with together with my Scan Speak 8545k at a Linkwitz-Riley network. (4th, 2kHz).
What's the difference between the vifa tweeters? Maybe you have something else to suggest?http://www.scan-speak.com/vifa.htm

I recently lost a Revelator 9900. What prompted the damage?
Based on my descritpion, the problem I have could be a $20 fix for SS USA.
you might want to check that out before replacing them.Michael BArnes of norh usees those drivers in his speakers, perhaps you could e-mail him for a tweeter rec.

Hi.A soldering had come loose in the network. Do you know how to fix it? I would be very glad!
XL,You say there's loose solder connection in the network of your speaker and the SS tweeter's no working.
I'm assuming you mean the loose solder connection is in the crossover network. If so, this is a simple fix. All you need is a soldering iron and some solder flux and solder. You or a friend w/ an iron can fix it in a few seconds. Post back to clarify just where the loose solder connection is located.
PS
Hehe, my bad english caused some misunderstanding here!Yes, the loose solder connection is in the crossover network, or was actually, i've fixed but. The problem is that the crossover network broke the tweeter when it wasn't working properly.
Do you know how I can fix the SS?
But if you post here or at MAdisound boars maybe someone can help.
Alos, if you drivers are less than 1 year old they are still probably under Scan S0peak warranty.
Try to contact Vifa/SS in your region and they should arrange for the repair, or be able to instruct you.Don't give up on those $250 tweeters yet!

I forgot to say that I listen to a lot of metal but I also likes a lot of other genres.
