Hi all,Call me crazy (this is, after all the asylum), but I am looking at better speaker terminals on my amplifier and am wondering whether there is an advantage of using the 0730 over the 0744. On WBT's website, they look almost exactly identical other than a colored ring on top of the 0744. They also carry the same current rating, though it looks like they might have a different clamping arrangement for the signal in the back. Do any of you who have used these in your projects (or not) know what the difference is between the two?
Also, I have Dyn Contour 1.8mkII's... does anyone know if the terminals on these speakers are 0730's or 0744's?
Thanks much!

Ok, you asked for it! You're crazy. The WBT's are a very nice construction, but they use brass base metal. This is the mark of a mediocre post. I recommend Cardas CCGR's. IMO the Cardas are the best posts in the world.
One thing people have warned me about is that Cardas posts have very high mass, which may be detrimental (though I'm not sure if it's much different from WBT). I don't have any experience testing one post v. another, but might as well start somewhere. WBT's nevertheless have very impressive machining. Thx for the advice - I'll look into it.Best,
Chris
