I'm asking on behalf of my father, if there's any other J-Fet's you can recommend to be used with RIAA stages. We've browsed thru every manufacturers web sites, and before mentioned J-Fet's seem to be the only ones suitable. My father has always used bipolars in his designs, and his experience with J-Fet's is limited, but that seems to be the way to go with pre-amp stages.
Thank you in advance for any information.

The only other parts that I would generally recommend are: 2SK289 and 2SJ109 matched pairs. Many of the best FETs are not available for sale to the public, anymore.
Hi John,I'm curious, what types of FET's are you referring to? Are these mil-spec parts or just parts that require large minimum orders.
MCM has 2SK170/2SK389/2SJ74/2SJ109. Some of these are back ordered (I ordered all of their K389's!). I don't know what grade these will be, have to wait till they show up. My K389/J74's should be here any day, the K170's early April. Borbely Audio also sells these parts.

John,Don't you mean the 2SK389 & 2SJ109 pairs? Both by Toshiba.
