There has been discussion off and on about the Tripath Amp. Thel out of Germany (www.thel.de) sell the Tripath Amp modules. As the site is only in German, I cannot tell if they are merely re-selling the amp modules or whether they have addressed some of the amp module's shortcomings. Does anyone know (or read German)?

Hi ccd,Thomas Hartwig Electronics (THEL) claim in their catalogs and advertisements, that all their products are developed in their own labs. I have the THEL catalog with some technical data. So if you have questions concerning the TriAmp 390 send me a mail (kboening@gmx.de).

Hi;If you need some help with translation, contact me by e-mail, maybe even attach the article and let me know what exactly your looking for in the article.
I have a 104 eval board and it looks almost identical to the one shown. Looks like they are just reselling.
That was my concern. If Thel had resolved the problems with the Tri-Path amp modules identified by fellow inmates, then it would be worthwhile. If they are just re-selling, why bother.
The board they have has added the output relays (with the signal running through them) and a second LC output filtering stage that is probably unnecessary. They are also missing the new buffering for the 12v regulator and are still using electrolytics for input coupling. This, of course assumes they are still using this board, which IS the Tripath eval board.Paul
