cheap sony receivers, getting them out of "protect"

i have a cheap sony (str-de325) receiver from a few years back, and a while ago it blew some transistors near the amp. i have replaced these transistors, but it still goes into "protect" a few seconds after power-up. i am wondering if there are a few extra steps i have to go through in order to get the receiver out of protect, or might i have to still replace some parts?
any help would be appreciated,

Did you use original replacement parts or substitutions? You may have to readjust BIAS or IDLE and DC offset. There may be other parts blown. (Take it in for repair)
